We have three locals who have sent notice that they will hold votes of disaffiliation; Tulsa, Owasso, and Norman. VP Taylor, VP Carriger, and myself visited the Owasso stations on 3-8 and 3-9 to visit with their members about what the PFFO and its services and also to listen to any of their concerns. The meetings seemed to go well and seemed to be productive. I have reached out to Local leadership in Norman and Tulsa with very limited success. I plan on making station visits in Norman next week. I worked on a list of services that the PFFO provides along with information from Chalk on some Legislative successes that we have had in the past and worked with IAFF to have those put in a brochure for us to be able to send out to our locals. I met with members of the OKC e-board along with VP Haines and IAFF VP McGhee. The meeting was in attempt to develop a better working relationship between OKC and the PFFO and to also give their board members the opportunity to discuss issues and concerns they may have with the PFFO and myself. Legislative Director Norton and I met with Ezra Poindexter from the Embassy Suites about next year’s convention. I am working to get an arbitration scheduled in Altus on a grievance dealing with the Chief changing overtime call back procedures.
