Ricky Burns
1.Anadarko – Finished negotiations, only a few minor changes to CBA, City switched back to fiscal year
2.Altus – Met with new President and their hired negotiator and previous union President Andy Spear, they are looking at freezing steps and getting a 3% cola
3.Chickasha – Total of 7 grievances now. Two over discipline for not attending off duty training, Two on Paramedic incentive not paid to probationary employees, one on Chief implementing new policy on ems paperwork (union has previously won a grievance on same issue), one on new policy for Captains to look over ems paperwork, one on Chief assigning non-fire/ems related work….cleaning sidewalks at park for 4th of July. Negotiations ongoing.
4. Duncan – Local filed grievance on health insurance changes, local has already won two of these grievances in the past.
5. Fredrick – Negotiations on going
6.Lawton – Grievance filed on member disciplined for alleged off duty conduct violation.
- Mustang – Currently in negotiations
- Newcastle – Nothing new to report
- Tuttle – Nothing new to report
Crossover work in other district: Finishing brief from June 3rd arbitration in Claremore, it is due on July 25th. Met with Jim Long and Chris Hayes last week on three remaining issues, all have arbitration dates set but mediation is scheduled for the 20th so hopefully these can be resolved.
